Brian Cathey


Brian co-founded our company in February of 2006. He has over 15 years experience in the construction industry and has successfully managed many projects from $30,000 to well over $10 million. He has held a Florida Certified General Contractors License since 2000 and is the qualifying agent for Cathey Construction. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida.

As President of the firm, Brian is responsible for the daily operations of the company and serves as Project Manager overseeing construction activities on each project. Brian is responsible for project development and estimating as well.

Vice President

As Vice President and co-founder, Al is responsible for assisting in the fiscal functions of the firm as well as providing senior leadership. He has owned and operated several successful businesses in our area and currently manages Cathey’s Ace Hardware, which he has owned for over 30 years. In addition to his business experience, Al has served several terms as Councilman for the City of Mexico Beach. He also served as Mayor, and ran unopposed for his second term. He holds a B.S. in Communications / Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi.
