Callaway Public Safety Building | Callaway, FL

Project Description

New construction of a 10,500 sf building. The building is constructed with a monolithic slab on CMU block stem wall.  All walls are wood framed with wood roof trusses.  The apparatus bays are reinforced structural masonry with heavy timber trusses with a stained wood roof deck.  The exterior consists of hardi-siding used in varying configurations and stucco.  The entire building uses a state of the art highly energy efficient HVAC system that uses a single variable speed condenser along with a dehumidification unit to cool an area that ordinarily requires multiple split systems.  The Fire Wing hosts living quarters, kitchen facility, equipment roof, work-out room, locker room, and 4 bay apparatus garage for the city’s fire department.  The Sheriff Wing hosts investigator offices, holding facility, interrogation rooms and administrative office space.
